What did you do to your Dyna today?
........
I hate paying people to work on my bike. In the years I've owned it, the only times I've paid someone else for labor have been for powder coating, porting my heads, an occasional state inspection (though I don't bother every year), and mounting tires.
Anyway, now I have it back. And there is one added bonus in the sales department at my dealer:

The Wife and I went for a ride earlier this evening. Her on her 04 XLH 1200 Custom (which I replaced the drive belt on earlier this afternoon) and me on the 07 Dyna. This morning, I spent some time doing the final primer wet sanding on our 77 XLH 1000 tins, prepping for paint.
Well bike is back buffed and back together. Cleaned the frame and engine while apart. Still have to pick up two clamps for the crossover tube I lost while apart. And looking at the weather I wont get to enjoy riding for another week. Can't even get the bike out for good pics during the day.

I don't think today's generation would know what you are talking about if you asked them what a blinker is.

Remind them that the blinker fluid needs to be rotated annually, using a left handed monkey wrench. tp dd50

In saying that, I'm beginning to believe riding to get lost is a past time only a few of us still experience when we ride.

Oh yeah. Sadly, I've ridden my area so much, I can't seem to get lost any longer. Do admit though, that getting lost in one's thoughts, while riding, is a major purpose for being on two wheels, IF, it would just stop raining. My day off, and woke up to rain. Sun now shining, but more rain is on its way.... tp dd50

Nice! How much were they, if you don't mind my asking?
