Just added sissy bar temporary one, need to find a different ont that will work but it has been challenging finding the one I want that fits. now needs a good cleaning and some other changes.
I like the sound of those but I have some large bags and don't want to put heat shields on so it limits what I can put on. So far the Fat Cat, the FuelMotot E-Series, and the SuperMeg have been the only 2:1 pipes that I think have the length that I want with performance.
Finally
Once Leatherpros came out with Version 2 of their retro saddlebags I knew I wanted them. The new material and internal locking system made up my mind. I also relocated the rear turn signals using Great Bike Gear’s system and their standoff’s. I am very satisfied with the quality of both products.
Found out just how much water the rain sock from k&n would keep out. 2 hours in some of the worse rain I have ever ridden in. No trees, no gas stations no stores no over passes. Just had to suck it up and ride. After about an hour an a half she started to spit and sputter under hard acceleration. Cruised into sunshine finally and after 15 minutes or so she was back to running smooth as silk and revving to the vtwin gods. Bike is super clean, has water draining from places I didn't even know could get wet but she didn't leave me. Very thankful for thundermax autotune keeping it running right no doubt. No check engine light the whole time either! Time to dry up my gear and get ready for the ride to work in the morning!
The UPS man delivered my new RR3 about noon today and I immediately set out to get it installed. I was nervous with this being my first exhaust swap, but the installation was ridiculously easy. Had the old exhaust pulled and the RR3 on in about an hour. Ran two heat cycles and triple checked all the fasteners and everything is gtg.
Finally got some time free between work and family to work on the bike. Got the new front wheel, tire and rotors mounted up.
Also, when you can’t stand the stock rotor bolts, and ARP bolt heads won’t clear, the only logical thing to do is mill the heads down and machine an accent groove into the ARP bolt heads.
