Todd's Cycles Dive Bars "Different Apes"
Has anyone seen these bars? Would love to see a Bob with them on and wonder how much if any cables and wires need to be redone considering they have a 12 inch rise compared to the 10.25 on the Bobs factory apes.

RE: Todd's Cycles Dive Bars "Different Apes"
Just bought a new 07 BOB and waiting on the weather to clear to pick it up. I don't have those bars, but something very similiar. They are Roland Sands Vintage Handlebars. Same design, 12" inch rise. Apparently there is enough slack in the stock cables to keep them. The only thing that may need to be changed out according to the dealer is the front brake line due to the way it is shaped. It may look funny. I hope to pick the bike up this Saturday and I can take a few pics with them on for you. Might give you an idea on how they look. Here is the link to the bars I had put on. http://rolandsands.com/RSD/assets/RSD-07-Catalog.pdfThey are set up for internal wiring. One thing i noticed with the bars you're looking at is that they are not dimpled. Not sure if it matters, but if you're keeping all the controls stock, you might need to have the bar dimpled out slightly for the wires. They are definetly ALOT cheaper in price. I'll keep you posted if you want.

They have other bars like the Rolands called Knuckles, and Stip bars also. I found them in the magazine Hot Bike. According to the article they are drilled on the bottom for internal wiring.

Let me know about the front brake line. i remember seeing that in someone else post about the brake line being angled and needing a straight line or something. I would like to do the switch myself and stay out of the dealer, this time of year in upstate NY is very busy and you can never get your bike in and out quickly.

I had already built my bars before I first saw Roland's, but they are very similar.

I didn't need to extend the electrical and I ran it internally. I went plus 6" on all the cables and as you can see they are quite long. I used a 50" brake line, that too could have been an inch or two shorter. My bars are 15.5" tall, 6" pull back, and about 30" grip end to grip end.
