That's the main reason I'm holding off on the chain conversion
When I talked to Bandit Machine about their instructions and lack of direction concerning the alignment marks (which are lightly etched into the rear face of the pressure plate.. and near the base of one stud of the hub) the owner stated he was going to update his instructions. I think that was 2009?

Ha ha .

I wrote up the same thing a long time ago on HTT and others somewhat disagreed like here, until they disassembled their sportsman's and discovered the marks.

I believe there are 3 or so of the positions combinations that you can align the hub and pressure plate and it will actually work, but only one does not cause the springs to **** and the stud nuts to drag on the plate.

Trust me I had belt drive on my prior bikes, and did not do wheelies or burnouts. The basket exploded on one bike just starting it in the garage, the others were fragged on just spirited riding when they came apart. The one in the garage destroyed the entire primary case, inner and outer. The other two were usable but had to be massaged from frag damage. Evo Industries will get your $$$ at some point.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you. I for one appreciate the info. It will be a while before I drop some coin on the bike for now. Evo basket would be nice. The shameful part is covering up all that perdy stuff up with a primary cover. I am going with a Diamond chain because this 124 tore up my OEM chain.

Found your thread. Didn't find pics so I'll have to add them to that thread.

Been on the brink about purchasing the Bandit, just had a PM discussion with monster a couple days ago about this very thing - found a 2009 v-twinforum post that says exactly what Lama is saying - have to line up the Bandit hub index with the Bandit pressure plate index.

I'll be curious if I got it right. If not I can't imagine it working better. Best $500 I've ever spent.

Where do you buy it? Seems like the best option is Zippers, free shipping.

Well this thread has been dead a while and I haven't been around much on the forums lately but problems bring me and the thread back haha. So I went to do a simple fluid change on the dyna today and pulled the cover to check chain tension and found the Baker adjuster appeared to be bent

Anyone had this happen or seen it? I will call Baker on Monday, it looks like they have replaced them in the past but I'm just curious to why it may have bent. I don't do a bunch of wheelies or hard launches, maybe the chain drive has something to do with it? I dunno, hope everyone's been well in my absence, have a good weekend!

Baker will take care of you. I have seen a few high HP builds that have bent the adjuster. Like maybe 3 IIRC.

I have only looked at mine once since install and that was not with very many miles on it and it looked fine. Maybe with my little 107" I will be OK but not happy to see yours bent....

Let us know what Baker says/does.

Wow that's crazy. Keep us posted on what the cause may have been.
