Is it normal for heads to come back dirty with old gasket material still on them? I wish I would have known that I would have scrubbed them down before I sent them out. Figured they'd be going in a parts washer and getting all cleaned up

So are you going to pull an all nighter?

Crazy about that filter, but at least it's only a filter can pick one up at autozone!

Yea it's just a filter. Paid retail on it. It's just a couple fins, they can be bent back... Bottom line is its bullshit. I paid full price for bent up parts

Hate to say it... But, you're right! I'd be pissed! Hope you can get it straightened. First twist and I'm willing to be it all fades away. Well, here's to hoping, anyways...

Agreed and you've been incredibly patient throughout. Hopefully it will all be worth it. Shipping back and forth sucks the big one

Did not replace mine and do not think my SM called for it to be replaced, will double check.

AMS did not clean the gasket surface on the top of my cylinder heads but everything else was nice.

Got everything transfered to the new tb. I threaded the bolts in a few threads before I torqued the heads down to make it easier to get them started. Also put the air cleaner on to get the tb lined up right. The backplate needs PC..

Got the bottom rocker boxes on and I'm done for the night. I'll get the rocker supports on and seal up the top end tomorrow. It's lookin good to me

Trying to get as many pics as possible. The clutch may have to wait til Friday, that's when the bel Ray is suppose to be here. Of course it will come down to something I could have done months ago haha
