Thanks guys. I'm looking at this thing closer and I think the powder coat just cracked a little up there, I don't think its the fin itself. The box definitely took a tumble and fell hard upside down but it should have been packaged to take the fall IMO. Can't imagine waiting another few weeks fighting ups to get paid for another cylinder. I'll keep my eye on it. Hoping to get the heads next week and seal this puppy up

Looks like you did a good job mending it! That and it looks like pretty stout stuff!

You have to post a video of that sucker running when she is buttoned up. What TB/injectors were you going w/ again?

EDIT: never mind.... You mentioned 58mm in the first page of the thread.

IMO If it was insured & the container was damaged I would take up action with the shipping co. Get to a manager and find out your options.

Rgr357 I know what you mean but man I'm tired of waiting.

Bobber, yea 58mm HPI and 4.9 SE injectors.

Manual says to use new bolts for the stator.. Those things aren't torqued very hard, did you guys replace them?

Gonna be a badass ride man. As for the stator bolts HD is f$&king nuts on some instructions. Mine looked perfect. I just cleaned all the bolts from my built and reused them. Just torque per SM and use proper type of locktite and you'll be fine.

The reason the SM calls for new stator bolts is because they tend to snap off at the heads when you go to remove them a second time. Your call.

I replaced mine, at least those bolts are pretty cheap as opposed to others.

Guess I like living on the wild side. I've never changed the stator bolts. Always forgot to get new ones.
