I'm not an expert on different model year differences so what's the story to your gas cap? Is that an HD part or just came on your bike or aftermarket or what?

By the way, just got my gas cap/fuel gauge and Wernimont front fender back from the painter, got it on.

Suede the superglide (FXD) comes with a different tank then other models. Smooth on either side of the tank with the gas filler and gauge on the center dash and the speedo on the bar clamp. I added the tach

 

Ok well today I figured I'd tackle pressing out the clutch hub and bearing.. Seemed a little tough but it was a piece of cake..

First off, take the six bolts out of the pressure plate and pull out pp, spring and all the friction disks and steel disks. After that flip it trans side up and take out the snap ring. Then press the clutch hub out of the bearing



Clutch hub is on the right, basket is on the left with the bearing still in it. Flip that puppy trans side down take out the big snap ring and press the bearing out of the basket on the inner race





Here's the beefy bearing that must be replaced after pressing it out ($100) and the pile of parts of which I'm only going to use the basket. Might put the SE disks and spring in the bagger...

 

I hope this thing holds up... Doesn't look as pretty as the billet ones



Just gotta wait on the bandit sportsman and re assemble. Gonna go get the new bearing tomorrow

Just curious.... does the bandit setup do away with the race?

 

Which race? Are you talking about the inner primary bearing? This is the clutch hub bearing. The new clutch hub will press into this bearing in the basket.
