06 Low Rider tachometer part number is 67481-04, other parts you might need below:
67121-95 gauge gasket
48073-04 dual gauge clamp
2361 screw (2 each, to hold tach into above clamp)
72131-04 socket housing, 12-way(gray)
72189-04 seal pin (10)
74196-04 terminal, socket (14)
74197-04 socket lock, secondary, 12-way
seal pin (10) & terminal, socket (14)....quantity is listed for both gauges, count the pins on the gauge to see how many you will need for the tach.

Member 06FXDBI has done this and gave me a lot of information when I was thinking about it. Great guy. I finally went with the Alloy Art gauge cup that mounts on the steering stem nut. Part number SM3.It uses a Harley mini tach. It isnt up on the handlebars and was very easy to install. Member kpreese wrote up an excellent procedure for this http://www.shareaproject.com/pages/p...,p,173,00.html.
There were a few things that swayed me from the Low Rider install. First, the tach is located at the bottom of the console which means I would have to take my eyes off the road. The other thing is I would have had to relocate the indicator lights. Some people just get rid of them, some put them into the console in different ways and the stock method is to mount them up on the handlebar clamp. This means you have to change your risers (different bolt pattern) and buy (or make) a wiring harness. And generallythere arequite a few parts involved. It was more of a project than I wanted to tackle. The way I went was just over $300. The Low Rider isnt a whole lot more depending on where you get your parts. I was looking a couple of consoles on Ebay too and there was one for $9.99 with $29.99 shipping. Overall that isnt a bad price as they go for $80 (discounted) brand new. I just dont like people jacking up the shipping. Thats a whole other thread. This is just my preference and it worked for me. Good luck.
