Well, I did it. I like it a lot.

I used PJ1's Fast Black paint. I had to cure them in the oven for about 1-1/2 hours. The house smelled like a chemical factory; my wife was remarkably tolerant... considering...

We had to open all the windows. [:-]

But. I am happy. That's what counts, eh?

 

I think it look really good and unique. Good job man!

Looks much better on the bike than the photoshop version. Came off looking like a thick ceramic coat.

According to the PJ1 tech guy, the Fast Black paint actually has ceramic powder in it. I think he said it had silicone in it too. During the curing process, the silicone melts and bonds the ceramic to the metal.

Or something like that. I was never too strong in chemistry...

 

It would look better if you do the mufflers too.

 

Honestly, Im not feeling it.
