Wide Glide front end on FXDBI
I've seen a buch of posts on this but most were with superglides. On a SB I cant use the same tubes and just change the trees. 49MM tubes prevent that. SO......Should I just buy a complete custom front end? I dont want extra rake and I like the stock length. Any advice? Thanks to all.

jackyl,
Here's what I used: 21" wheel from a wide Glide, upper and lower triple clamps, axle, axle spacers, 3/4" spacers and 3/4" longer Allen head bolts for mounting the fender, and washers (.090") to center the caliper over the rotor. Use other existing hardware from your bike (axle nut, triple clamp pinch bolts, head bearings and nut, fender nuts, forks).
Clayman,
I bought the parts from Zanotti'sback in June, after realizing the 21" wheel I got off eBay would only fit if I used the Wide Glide triple clamps. Also read post #16.
Here are the part numbers and prices:
46700-06 Upper Triple Clamp.....$ 65.75
46386-06 Lower Triple Clamp....$139.83
40923-06 Front Axle..................$ 28.39
40926-06 RH/FRT Spacer.............$ 4.58
40927-06 LH/FRT Spacer.............$ 4.58
Total..$243.13
Ash,
Here's what I used: 2006 Wide Glide parts; 21" wheel, upper and lower triple clamps, axle, axle spacers.
From a hardware store: 3/4" spacers and 3/4" longer stainless Allen head bolts for mounting the fender, and stainless washers (.090") to center the caliper over the rotor.
Use other existing hardware from your bike (axle nut and washer, triple clamp pinch bolts, head bearings nuts and washer, fender nuts, forks, etc.).

Are these part numbers for a 06-07 wideglide? I need them to be 49mm. Are they chrome? Please forgive me but I don't know what Zanotti's is. Someone school me. I've seen it mentioned several times. Is it an online shop? I really appreciate everyone on this forum. Its been a great discovery! I look forward to meeting some of "ya'll" ( I'm from Tennessee) in the future.
Thanks

trampsinger,
06-07 Wide Glide triple trees have 3 deg. of additional rake and would require longer fork tubes to keep the bike level. If you want to utilize your existing fork tubes you'll need to purchase a set of triple trees with stock (no additional)rake.

RE: Wide Glide front end on FXDBI
If your doing this conversion on an 07 streetbob, using all OEM 2007 parts (including 21" front wheel) you will also need theleft side 07 WG slider. I did the conversion using the Bobs sliders and the wheel was offset 90mm. NOT CENTERED! 46619-06 is the part number. Trust me, I wouldn't have spent the extra $100, if I didn't have to. Also, check with your dealer Harley calls out different part numbers for left side, but all 07 dyna's share the same part number for the right side.
