Default Front forks

I have put on chrome lowers on other Harley's front forks...but can you polish the stock ones with semi chrome type product and make them look polished without hurting or making them harder to keep looking nice?

Being an Navy veteran, we used stuff called NevrDull. You can buy it in auto parts store or wallyworld..I think. Anyway, it works freakin great on all metals. It is a wad type with the product already in it. Just rub it in the metal for a minute os so and let dry. Get a micro fiber rag and polish it off. Should look nice..I went ahead with the chrome uppers and lowers on my Ultra this week. Waiting for it to be done...

That will more or less clean them better,to get them polished like chrome no.You need to take the anodized coating off them first then polish them,Its a about a 4 to 5 step process and some elbow grease.Look over on you tube to get some ideas on what it takes.Start with the removal of anodized coating, then start wet sanding with 400 grit then move to 800 grit then 1000 grit and then 1500.After that you can put on some polish and a coat of wax.Takes about a day with the forks on the bike
