Default How to deal with scuffs on frame?

Recently purchased a 2009 Rocker C in Vivid Black and was surpised how many swirly hairline scratches are in the frame paint. It appears to me that it occured where the MoCo used tie downs during shipping.
They aren't deep or through the paint and remind me of the swirls you get on the tins.
Speaking of which, when I got the bike I hit the tins with some Swirl X, Deep Crystal Polish, and Meguiars NXT wax which brought it back to better than factory new. Would this same process work on the frame? I'm not sure if it is paint or powdercoat and thought I would ask before I ended up clouding my frame up.
Do you guys just concentrate on maintaing the tins or try to remove swirls from the frame too?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
