Default Brake Cleaner or Carb Cleaner?

Which of these cleaners is safer to use on my bike to remove oil and dirty grease? By safer, I mean when it is used on metal, not plastics. For example, I'd use one of these to do the final clean around a new oil filter. Thanks for your assistance.

Default

brake cleaner is just denatured alcohol, carb cleaner is all kind of nasty chemicals that will eat plastics and paint.. but neither one is very good on a finished surface..a rag with car/bike wash, detailing spray or apolstory cleaner works best
