Default front cylinder fins

How do you remove corrosion from the front cylinder? I have a black engine, with the edge of the cooling fins raw aluminum. They are no longer shiney like the sides and back one. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of it? Its tough to make a recomendation without seeing how much damage has happened.
If it is mild damage something like Mothers polish will work. If it is moderate or severe more extreme measures will have to be used.

Use a 3M SandBlaster block in 320 grit. You can get it at any hardware store.

I can try a pic tomorrow, but thought a file might do the trick after thinking about it for some time. They have those fine files with the rounded tip that may work. It does not have visable corrosion just discolored.

Real fine grit sandpaper. 600, 1000 or 1200.

I believe I have the answer. I have a dremel tool that has real fine grinding and polishing wheels and will be able to polish it and it will look like new..thanks for the tips, and any further discussion will be appreciated!
