I love the look of my white wall tires,is there a good white wall dye or bleach for them
My Dad had when I was growing up a 1926 Chevy (cool old car) and I can remember he used white shoe polish on his tires I'll try that and re post here.
Just thought I would ask the Great HD Fourm too.

 

Westley's bleach white, Mr. Cleran Magic Eraser, Brillo pads, there are all sorts of ways to get them clean. I use Shout laundry stain remover on a magic eraser.

 

Dr. V has it right . If that list won't clean it . It can't be cleaned.

 

Harley wheel and tire cleaner with a fine scotch bright pad. Do Not use an SOS pad it will leave scratches on the white wall, that hold dirt.

 

Little gas on a cloth wipe sidewall in one direction,keep off the black,total time 15seconds.

 

i used simoniz tire cleaner from canadian tire. was $10 cad. and worked like a hot damn

The OL's bike has white walls.

The fastest I've found is to wet the tire, then pre-soak with Westley's.

5 minutes later, with the bike on a lift, re-wet with Westley's and scrub. Rinse, move to the other tire.

 

Brillo Pads work well - Just be gentle or you wioll scratch the crap out of them.

I used 0000 Steel Wool with liquid dish dtergent and it always worked great. You will only get one use per pad and then they are garbage

 

Spray with Simple Green first, Scrub with Comet Cleanser using a green scotchy scrub pad.
