well
it is impossible to wax the Motor Chrome parts
without getting wax on teh Flat BLACK motor case & parts.

how do you get that wax off? the black parts?

This same topic was brought up on another forum I'm on. Here are some of the suggestions they had:

Prep-Sol - used to cut waxes and silicone off cars before you pain them
Pig Snot and a toothbrush
Dish Detergant, toothbrush and elbow grease
Omni brand cleaner MX190
S100
HD Engine Brightener
WD40 and a soft toothbrush

I use Armoral and a toothbrush/rag.......cleans up nicely and leaves the black looking brand new.

I did the same thing! s100 engine cleaner did a great job!

 

Why are you waxing chrome motor parts in the first place? They get plenty hot enough to evaporate the wax after the motor runs for a few minutes. All you need for chrome is glass cleaner and some chrome polish once in a while.

brake cleaner does not take it off, i tried that

 

I found something that really works good. I bought it at my local HD dearler. It is called More Shine less time coating for Vinyl and plastic made by Stoner. A friend told me about it and I really did not think it would work. It works great. If you get some on your chrome all you have to do is wipe it off with a clean cloth. Try it.
