Unhappy Cheap micro fiber cloths - Don't buy /use them....

My experience for the day.... not good. I washed my bike last weekend and had some stubborn bug spots that I wanted to go back over so I did it yesterday. Well I used some el cheapie Micro Fiber cloth that I pickup up somewhere ( the only clean ones available at the time ) and now the spot that I concentrated on looks BAD....
Tried to buff it out today but it only helped a little, no where near the shine as the paint next to it. Where you might ask, dead center fairing of course ! I'm not a happy camper right now. I'll try the polishing again to see if I can get it any better and yes the el cheapie rags are going in the trash to never be seen again.

Ok, I'll go along with the "old saying". So, who has good quality micro fiber cloths?

Could be your microfiber but use plenty of lubrication when working on a spot and try not to use much pressure. If ya need a lot of pressure you may need more lube/cleaner to set and break it down. Harley scratch remover should take care of some light marks. Keep your rag wet with whatever your using and take your time. Might take several applications. Good luck.

I would like to suggest using Glare Professional Polish to clear up the fairing spot. The wife had an area on the top of her front fender. She had a fork bag that made a round mark about 3"-4" is diameter. It was pretty bad! I used Glare Polish and to this day you can't find the area. That was 5 years ago. Follow it up with Zaino Z-5 then Z-2.

1+ on http://autogeek.net for Cobra MF towels and the "white" Zaino 100% cotton borderless towels for applying Z-5 and Z-2.
It should be better than new!

Here is a article "How to use Zaino"

Here is a video Zaino borderless towels

Zaino white towels for Z-2 and Z-5
Zaino blonde towels for Z-6 and Z-8

Great towels!
Borderfree is scratch free.

Same here, I buy these and use them for my DLP screen as well. Just as good as the expensive brands.
