yep key is to keep any of your micro fibers clean use them only for the tank and tins and chrome if they get dirt in them they will scratch just like any $50 dollar micro fiber.

Seems like maybe the problem was the bug parts and too much elbow grease. I feel your pain Reese. I have done this too and it really pisses me off but most of the time a little Scratch X and a couple good coats of wax fix the problem.

Best I've seen ANYWHERE...Griot's Garage. I have both the green and blue ones. Not sure of the difference, but he sells the green ones to go with the Spray on Car Wash and blue ones with the Speed Shine. No comparison to the cheapo towels I've gotten elsewhere.

Been using old tee shirts for years until Micro Fibers came out. The cheapest ones are still better than old tee shirts.

I use a lot of Griots Garage product. It is all excellent! You are right about the MF towels, I have never found any anywhere else that are the quality of these.

I like using diapers. Use them on my guitars too. I like the results, but as I age I don't see as well.

Sam's Club (warehouse store) has 12 packs for around $11. They had four different colors to chose from if you wanted to color code them with different cleaning/polishing products. They work great for me. Just remember to wash them according to the instructions on the pack.

Sorry to hear about the paint, hope you can get it buffed out!

I'm a big fan of cloth diapers. Pick them up at Babies 'R Us in a pack of 10 or 12 (I think) and use them until they fall apart or get too funky. Make sure to get the "heavier" kind as there are two different types and the lighter ones are completely useless for everything.

Anytime I have a swirl etc, to take out of paint I use Mequires #17 Clear plastic cleaner.
It will take out the finest scratches, swirls etc even on paint or plastic watch crystals.
