Angry Clean the "cleaner" off the engine

07 dyna SB
So when I use chrome cleaner on the rocker box covers I tend to get some on the umm.. i don't know what it's called.. in between the horizontal line thingies I think is the tech term.. See the pics for reference.

The black part on this part of the engine is a b*tch.. I use some soft brillo pad and it takes off some of the black. I use light cleaner & it doesn't take anything off.

How do I clean this part of my bike? All help is appreciated as usual. Hook me up.

J.

S100 works wonders on the wrinkle black.

The “horizontal line thingies” would be cooling fins. Either S100 engine brightener or Pig Spit will take the chrome cleaner off and make the black areas on the engine look great.

Yep, you don't want to get chrome cleaner on the black parts of the engine.
The S100 and a tooth brush, or other bristle brush will take it off.

I went with the wife once to one of those kitchen stores at the outlet mall. I found an assortment of brushes there that work perfect for cleaning those hard to reach places.
