Default A different way to shine up those mufflers

Call me crazy or stupid, but i don't see how this can be good. A buddy of mine was telling me that a wrench at a local shop was telling him the best way to wax the mufflers and shields was to put some wax on, then start up the bike and let it run for a few minutes, then wipe off. Anyone ever hear of this?

Yep... crazy as a loon. They don't really need to be waxed or coated but if you want to prevent corrosion use Wheel Guard simply the best metal protectant there is period! I use it on all bare metal rims, pipes, etc. Absolutely amazing stuff.
