Default Touch-Up

Just bought some touch up and clear coat to repair some chips on the tank. Wondering what to use to remove old wax from repair area. Would some plain ol' rubbing alcohol do the trick? Looking for tips from all you detailing gurus. Thanks...

A 50/50 mix of water and alcohol will be fine..If you have a small spray bottle handy it can make the work go faster. Its also good when polishing to use it to check work and make sure you have removed swirls instead of just covering them up with polish fillers.
