Sprayway glass cleaner. CHEAP (2/$5 at Wally World). Leave it on there until the bug is soft - wipes right off. This is ammonia-free so it is safe to use on all plastics (ammonia will crack certain types of plastics).

Not sure what this does to wax, if it strips it off or not, but if you have wax on there and the bugs are sticking, your wax is **** anyway. This is really great on denim paint.

On bikes with tall windshields that I look through, I carry it with me, even on local trips for driving at night.
There might be a million products but 99% of them are junk. I dont want anything with a wax in a cleaner. Hell I dont want wax in anything I use.

If you have bugs sticking that bad to your paint, your LSP is the problem. Wait a week to remove the bugs, thats a problem also.

Why in the hell would anyone use pledge on a bike? Does it get used on your truck/car also?
Mckees 37 914, Wolfgang Uber, CarPro Echo2 will make gallons of cleaner and clean better and cheaper I would bet.

Soak a couple towels in hot water and wrap the bugged up parts for a bit, far less problem afterward. Dish soap will do then.

Real biker's just go out and ride in the rain to soften up the bug splatter.

A good 2 hour run at over 50 MPH in the rain will get rid of most of the bug guts.

Then all you have to do is clean up the road scum on the bike.

Who needs fancy products to clean their bike when water is the universal solvent.

Sarcasm off.

Drape a wet towel over the fairing/windshield and let it soak a while, keep it wet. After cleaning use Bug Slide and be done with it. On the windshield I have used a LIGHT coat of paste wax and a good buff.

et.
It works and it is cheap. I have had that windshield 23 years.

Why would you not? Because it is not marketed as secret high tech formula for bikes?

If Im worried about a few dollars I probably dont need a harley or a bike

So, you would Pledge on a Ferrari if you had one?

Im stopping there. Ive read some of your posts from the past on other topics. Not getting dragged down into the gutter

Ive detailed vehicles for almost 20 years as a side gig. I cant imagine telling my customer, " I used Pledge on it. Yeah the stuff you dust furniture with. Please pay me".

I think we have had this conversation before. I used it for 20 years because it works. You have not told me, why I shouldn't it, other than marketing. All I can say is it worked. I read about on a forum where many people were using it. So I tried it, and kept using it, cause it works.

About 2 years ago I tried some other stuff to be a snob. I can't really say the other stuff is any better. Rode to AK with this. Every 100 miles cleaned windshield and glasses. Traveled much of the country with it in my bags. It works.. But does not have a picture of bike on it.

No need to get mad it about. I am just saying I use it, and so do others. No rabbit hole.
