Cleaning Bugs off fairing & windscreen
#12
Sprayway glass cleaner. CHEAP (2/$5 at Wally World). Leave it on there until the bug is soft - wipes right off. This is ammonia-free so it is safe to use on all plastics (ammonia will crack certain types of plastics).
Not sure what this does to wax, if it strips it off or not, but if you have wax on there and the bugs are sticking, your wax is **** anyway. This is really great on denim paint.

Million products.
For 20 years I used pledge, and carried it on trips. I have used bugslide, and now using aero cause cheaper. Probably no difference in any off them. Pledge is the cheapest, but I have come a snob. The aero stuff comes with some really nice towels

On bikes with tall windshields that I look through, I carry it with me, even on local trips for driving at night.

If you have bugs sticking that bad to your paint, your LSP is the problem. Wait a week to remove the bugs, thats a problem also.
Why in the hell would anyone use pledge on a bike? Does it get used on your truck/car also?
Mckees 37 914, Wolfgang Uber, CarPro Echo2 will make gallons of cleaner and clean better and cheaper I would bet.

Real biker's just go out and ride in the rain to soften up the bug splatter.
A good 2 hour run at over 50 MPH in the rain will get rid of most of the bug guts.
Then all you have to do is clean up the road scum on the bike.
Who needs fancy products to clean their bike when water is the universal solvent.
Sarcasm off.
5 return enters per request.

If Im worried about a few dollars I probably dont need a harley or a bike
So, you would Pledge on a Ferrari if you had one?
Im stopping there. Ive read some of your posts from the past on other topics. Not getting dragged down into the gutter
Ive detailed vehicles for almost 20 years as a side gig. I cant imagine telling my customer, " I used Pledge on it. Yeah the stuff you dust furniture with. Please pay me".

About 2 years ago I tried some other stuff to be a snob. I can't really say the other stuff is any better. Rode to AK with this. Every 100 miles cleaned windshield and glasses. Traveled much of the country with it in my bags. It works.. But does not have a picture of bike on it.
No need to get mad it about. I am just saying I use it, and so do others. No rabbit hole.
