But my 06 Street Bob has a single rotor/brake on the front and rear. It has to be the air flow around the bike.

Most of you are probably (like me) uising the front brake more than the rear.
I'm still wondering about cleaning the spokes on a 02. One of the previous posters said don't do it.

Make sure it's a mechanics stool with wheels so you don't have to get up... only to pee.

Sit down, place a portable fan next to you, a radio, an ice chest with some cold ones, old socks, turtle wax chrome cleanerand your set for about 2-3 hours. [sm=signs003.gif]
Right-0n! Its the 3rd best therapy.

IMHO, As long as you do not use any abrasive poliosh, I think that you would be alright. The mothers liquid polish that I used is not abrasive (At least I didn't think so). And the shoe laces aren't for sure.

I would suggest you that you give it try but be easy until you know for sure that it will work for you. I think as long as you don not use anything abrasive that you will do more cleaning and polishing than removing of any metal coatings.

Do you apply any type of polish to you wire wheels and then buff it with a clean towel. This is all you will be doing. This will just make it easier and a more effective way to clean and polish.

I'm about certain an '02 still has cadmium plated spokes. The switch over year was either '04 or '05.

For years I used cloth strips with Dupont #7 chrome polish. Same see-saw method. Works great. I like the shoelace idea.
Thanks.
