Default Griot's Products

I use Griot's Speed Shine and Best of Show Spray Wax. Takes me all of 5 or so minutes to clean and shine the bike - paint work AND chrome. A bit on the expensive side maybe BUT it does work.

I wouldn't mind getting ahold of a Griot's Garage 3" Mini Random Orbital Polisher but for the amount of times I'd use it I can't justify the $160.oo price tag any more than I could justify paying somebody $200 plus to wash and buff out my my bike. I keep looking for a used one but I guess lots of people buy them but nobody ever sells one and if they do they want damn near new price for it.

I have a Milwaukee 3" Buffer that my wife bought me for my last birthday. I don't know how much it was but it is brilliant when it comes to giving the bike a polish and for doing the headlights on my cars. Well worth the investment and, as you indicate4d, you only have to buy them once

I bought the Griot's 3" buffer kit. In my opinion, it was worth it. I used it right after buying my RGU late last year, and again today to help clean up after my road trip to Glacier National Park. It does a great job, I'm VERY happy with the results considering my meager skills and knowledge of the subject. I'm resisting going down the rabbit hole that detailing can take one, but I plan on expanding my experience because having a clean, good looking ride is important to me. I spend a lot of money on these damn things, I'm gonna take care of it.

My thoughts as well, no matter what detailing gear you buy

Pride in ownership!
I have a Flex 3401 and a G9. I can go from a 5 1/2in pad to a 4in pad with the G9. Its a little more versatile.
The detailing rabbit hole is deep! been in the game a long time, but I look at it that my customers buy my gear

Griot's is good stuff, for the most part. They're one of the few around that actually manufacture most of their products in house.

G8 and G9 are both easy to use and very ruggedly built

if i were doing my bike only, i'd jut use the G8, but I got the bug and got a G9 as well...and an assortment of backing plates, and storage bins full of pads

yup....it adds up
