I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.

I have cans of Plexus and use it on pretty much everything... and it works great on chrome!

 

For the most part chrome polish is chrome polish.

ive used a lot of Mother’s chrome polish, with as good as it gets results. Easy application and removal as long as you don’t let it dry/ haze on the chrome.

another one I have a good bit of experience with that I really like since it works as an aluminum, stainless, and chrome polish since my bike has all those surfaces and I can use one product for it all is Adam’s one step metal polish. Cuts quick, and polished off nicely but is kind of a bastard to shake up and get out of the bottle without getting a little polish precum first.

This is what I use on chrome, exhaust tips, chrome wheels. This leaves a sealant behind. On heat shields and mufflers it will be gone as soon as it gets hot but the polish is super easy to use. You can get it on amazon also.

Any polish will work on chrome. Sometimes I just use whatever Im using on the paint. Metal polish is cheaper then the paint polishes I use though

 

I use Carnu-b it's friggin awesome.
been using their stuff for years. Takes little scratches out of paint, and the metal polish works on everything I've tried it on.

 

I've used White Diamond or Mothers Chrome polish for years but just recently started using Blue Magic and really, really like it. Still use White Diamond/Mothers for really dirty or tarnished spots but finish off with Blue Magic.

 

Some metal polish's specifically state to not use on chrome.
