Default Preferred Cover For Touring - Bang For The Buck ?

Wasn't sure where to post this so I went with "Detailing" since I'm sure anyone interested in detailing also cares about keeping their bike looking good after.

Title says it all - My bike is in my garage but it sometimes goes outside but even inside it's amazing how dirty it still gets

Itll still going to get dirty inside with a cover. I have an old xl cover i got from walmart 10 years ago and it works fine. Even tho it breathes it still traps moisture.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Under a roof is different from outside and exposed to rain, snow, sun, wind etc.
Are you you looking for a cover for travels to be stored in saddlebag or something that is more of an outdoor portable garage?
Depth of pocket(funds) comes into play when making such a decision.

***NOTE***
Bike is a Street Glide, matte black and with a large detachable tour pack
  • I live in Southern Ca. & bike is in my garage but it sometimes goes outside
  • If I do any work in the garage that stirs up dust or open the doors on a windy day, etc. my bike gets covered with dirt and of course that always happen right after its had a bath.
  • Having it fit in the tour pack or bags could be a plus for road trips
  • I'd like something the fits well, keeps moisture from building up inside, is gentle on the paint and can be secured on the bottom

Any cover will still allow dust under it, take the hose out and wash and ride it. You're over thinking this.

I've been riding for 38 years and never had a cover so I'm just considering something I've never considered before and looking for opinions is all

Consider an inexpensive XXL cover.
Use a leaf blower for dust.
Unless you use something like the Harley Bubble thing the dust will always find a way.
