I wash maybe once a week with Bike Brite maybe a half hour or so wash and dry. When I wax I wax on crappy days so I don't waste riding time

 

Once a week wax and polish. Kinda like therapy for me.

 

Whenever it rains.

 

Just about everytime it rains. And if it rains the day after, I'll uncover her her just to look at her. Sad, maybe? by I love Big Bertha.

 

you can find the mini one at Wal amrt for 6.44. I have two of them. One in the saddlebag, and one on the garage shelf. They work wonders inbetween rides. Usualy i will clean off with the duster and then get out my Meguiars quick detailer and remove bug guts.

 

Wash it after a ride where road dirt or weather could adversely affect the finish -- like here along the Gulf Coast, if we go to Galveston, I'm washing the bike on return to get the salt spray off the bike. I keep the bike waxed and in my garage at all times, spending 2-3 times a year in detailed waxing and cleaning -- i.e. the bags, seat and other quickly removable parts come off to get in all the "nooks and crannies."

But I like to ride as much as I like having a stunning, eye-catching bike. So in-between rides and cleanings, I wipe down the bike with Pledge and Honda spray cleaner for the chrome. Awesome results. And the bugs and dust come right off...

 

i washed my shovelhead in 1992. it won the rat class at the big bike show here in town a couple of weeks ago. my evo bagger gets washed for memorial day,4th of july, labor day and before it gets put away for the winter. the windshield gets washed when it needs it.

Spray wax makes it so easy so it wouldn't almost take any extra time to wax it
