How to treat fresh custom paint
Hey guys, I recently had my heritage painted and I want to make the paint last as long as possible. Unfortunately, on my first full day of riding, I got caught in the aftermath of a storm, so the bike got soaked. I wanted to quickly remove all the dirt and road scum, so I gave it a wash with some turtle wax car cleaner. Last week I noticed that there were already a fewswirl marks in the paint. I know that it is wise to wait 60 - 90 before waxing and going the whole 9 yards on a fresh paint job. So what is the best treatment for a freshly painted bike? Is it too early to use products to try and remove the swirl marks? Any opinions/advise is greatly appreciated...

RE: How to treat fresh custom paint
After I had my bike painted, I was told to wait before I even used polish on it. It's because the coat was still soft and it would leave swirls. Sound like that's what has happened to you. I would suggest waiting the rest of the time and keep those towels off the paint. If the swirls are that annoying, you might could take it back to the painter and have it cut and buffed. But I would still continue with the waiting period to make sure no other swirls wind up in the paint. Calling the painter to get his recommendation is probably another good option.
Your bike is awesome, by the way. Great job customizing!
