I'll get flamed for this and believe me you'll get better answers.

I had a set like that and all I had was some Kiwi liquid black shoe dye (with the sponge applicator) and some Kiwi black shoe polish (the regular paste kind.)

I first cleaned the bags with a damp rag and let them dry. Then I dyed them and polished them. They continued to look great for a long time with an occasional black polishing.

Now, stand by for the incoming shelling. I know I don't know a darned thing here. I'm a s anxious as you are for a better answer because I just got some used but correct bags for my WG.

The Kiwi method will work well. Doc Bailey's will work better.

once you use the kiwi, go back and use a good coat of mink oil. it will weather proof the leather

OK bumping this.

I (unfortuantely) left a bottle of the new spray on sun screen that leaked all over my leather seat and the top of my bags. I mayget censored but the resulting stains are milky white (like you know) and I cant get them off.

Any suggestions as to a solvent the will not ruin the leather?

Clean with saddle soap - really well - then use Doc's...... on any leather use saddle soap to clean and prep.
