RE: WD40 on Wrinkle Black Engine ???
HI GUYS!
WD40 WILL CATCH FIRE!!!
S100 can eat the oil right out of your paint !! I tell my clients to throw it away!!! It is silicone which dries hard!
Layer after layer that heat has to escape so you'll first notice your pins stripes starting to crack and peal
I recommend highly using teflon instead of silicone.... your process is actually correct though with the sponge tip applicator...KUDOS there.
Teflon dries flexible hard....is heat resistant...and NON-STICK
ALSO YOUR POWDER COATS AND WRINKLE COATS ARE TEFLON BASED PAINTS....so more teflon is a BEAUTIFUL thing.
CleanCycle Products.com has a wonderful engine restorer that is extremely versatile for your entire bike!
It's call BLACKOUT. and it's TEFLON. easy to use, and is safe on vertually any part of the bike used properly. i swear by this stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: WD40 on Wrinkle Black Engine ???
Back in the eighties, I purchased a used Suzuki Samurai 4x4. Someone had taken the time to detail the engine and apply a layer of clear coat over the entire block and all the components. All I ever had to do was hit it quick with the hose and it would come out better than factory. I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I would think that if it worked on that little 4x4, it might work out quite well on your wrinkle black finish provided that you did a thorough cleaning first.

HD has a product called s-100 engine brightner. It works fine. Walmart use to sell a product called Pig Spit. It was alittle better then s-100. The company (Pig Spit) does not sell to walmart anymore. They enhanced their product and I feel it is the best on the market now. It will make your engine look like new again. Last about three good washings. That is better then most products of this kind. Can be used on plastic and metals also. I think you will love this product and it is just what you are looking for.

I don't think you coule beat PIG SPIT. If you keep reading the reviews in this forum you will see why I feel this way. Also Pig Spit now has a new formula. It's stronger that the WalMart version. They had to water down the product in order to sell at WalMart because of price. I think you will be very happy with this product.
