As stated above, most any car wash solution will work. This stuff's all about the same, soshop price. Bike Brite and S-100 spray cleaners work well on really dirty bikes. Whatever you do don't use dish washing soap. It'sharsh, strips polish and leaves a film if you don't rinse well.

I started using this and much to my amazement when I used the wash product it did not leave any water spots and I live where the municiapl water is over 30 grams of hardness!

The wax is just as amazing as well.......it doesn't bead up but slides water off.

I do not use soap on the bike when I wash it. The only thing soap touches is the tires. Comes out nice and shiny and keeps the wax in place.

I use the old wash n wax from turtle wax. Cannot find it in stores but can order online from various distributors. Used it on my Buell, Night Train, Police glide, and now my Ultra Classic. It never clouded a windshield or paint. If you don't dry completely there may be streaks but this is not bad....the streaks are WAX. Just wipe and it is like removing the wax after you......wax. Except for the buell all my engines were black and here is a tip for that. Apply any tire shine product (foam or spray) to warm (not hot) or cold engine, let sit about 30 min, then spray it off and wash bike as usual. Your black engine will be very black for a very very long time and you will not be able to wet the engine. Water will run off the engine faster than you can spray it on. It will not leave any residue on the paint....none. Any on the pipes (under the shields) will "burn off" within a few minutes on your next run. Works great on all the black wrinkle paint as well as the smooth black wheels of the Ultra or porous black parts of the black thunderstar wheels. Does great on the inner fairing of my ultra as well. Ironically I use it everywhere EXCEPT the tires.

I use Meguiars Deep Crystal Car Wash. I have been using Meguiars products for everything from wash, wax, polish, etc for 20 years now on every vehicle I have owned and have been very happy with all their products. They have a great website at meguiars.com that not only shows their products, but has tech information and videos on how to properly take care of your paint. I take the seat off because I make sure to hit the painted area underneath to protect it, especially for waxing and mist and wipe detailing. Good luck.

If you want a quick and easy chrome polish that works very well, use Windex and a newspaper.

I've cleaned my bikes with only water and a chamois cloth after riding and waxing every month. I let them cool down and get a couple of buckets of water, one bucket for washing and the second for rinsing clean. I use a microfiber cloth to dry and polish and the bikes shine like they just left the showroom floor.
