Best soap to wash the bike

RE: Best soap to wash the bike
I use Meguiars NXT soap or any car wash soap that is pH balanced, it really doesn't matter which brand as long as it is balanced and won't strip wax.
I remove the saddlebags and seat as they are leather. I cover the air cleaner with a plastic grocery bag, crumple another bag and gently push it into the exhaust pipe, and cover the battery and electrical connectors under the seat with plastic.
Use the "mist" or lowest setting for your hose sprayer!

I'll second the S100 total cycle cleaner.... Just spray it on (while the bike is cold) I use a pressure washer until no soap comes off, then take the leaf blower to the bike, hardly takes any time, and I get compliments ALL the time... I'll always recommend S 100 products

Most of the time I go to the car wash. I'll get flamed for this, but once you've done a good hand wash, a weekly trip thru the car wash works well.
As for soap, flamed again, but Michelle gives me whatever dish soap she has available.
It's a machine! I ain't too worried about it.

Yeah, it may be working okay, but why take off the protection we work so hard to apply and maintain?
