Thank you. There were some bumps along the way, believe me. However, when the stress level got too high, I put down the tools for a while and calmed myself down.

When you do a big project like this, the best way to approach it is to break it down into small steps. That way each step is an accomplishment. These milestones can keep your enthusiam up. The project rolls along and sooner or later it is finished. When it starts for the first time the feeling of satisfaction is indescribable. Riding it for the first time is even more rewarding.

Definitely thanks for sharing. Your story and those added by others are very inspiring. I can't wait to someday be able to have a project bike of my own.

That day will come when the kids get out of the house...I hope...

Great build! I am also in the process of building my own and, like you, just pay as you go. One step at a time is the best way to approach a custom build in my opinion. You get a sense of accomplishment each time you accomplish a step.

I have been building from scratch for over three decades and have never taken the time to document , much less post the builds. I have taken pics and that is about it and do know the additional time it took you to document.I thank you for doing such a GOOD presentation as I hope it lets people know that they can do it and will create some interest in Home Building !

Excellant work. Be great if there were more threads like this on the Forums.

Great looking ride,no better feeling than being on your own creation.Another benefit is working on it afterward, you always know what to expect.I feel more connected to my machines, after focusing on every single piece of the builds. You know what I'm talking about.
