Default HELP im eating Batteries

So I have a 07 Texas Chopper and I cant keep a batt in it for more then 6 months. I got it last OCT and I just put the 3rd batt in it. The first one I thought well the dealer just ate it ( it was in the bike when i got it). 2nd one I just lost on a trip from Pensacola to Jacksonville ( got it in FEB) and now I have a cheap ole in it cause I was on the road and needed a batt. So what gives? If there is any suggestions out there please chime in. When I finally got to a Harley dealer I had the old batt tested and it was a cell inside broken or some ****. My best bud is a harley tech and he says its prolly the vibration killing them. Im like ok what kind of batt do I need. im sure this "ole cheap o" will not last for long but 100 bucks to 200 bucks for batts is starting to get pricey.... Plus the old lady is not liking this **** either. :whacked:

Do you have compression release??

If not, you might always have issues with the battery in your bike.

The best battery with the most CCA (cold cranking amps) is a braille battery out of Florida.

I have been using the B2317 in my bike for that past 2 years with no issues. The 2317 has 475 cca, compared to a standard HD battery that is around 250-300 cca.

Your bike is pulling so much juice out of your current battery it is causing a cell to go bad.

You might try an oddessey battery. They are a dry cell I think. I have a friend who kept "eating batteries" as you say and the oddessey cured it. He has a high compression motor and no compression releases. Some people really like the oddessey batteries, others do not.

I've riden a couple Tx-choppers and they didn't seem to vibrate all that much to cause it. I would try a gel battery I got a 300cca for about $100.00. If your stater is 1.4kw that battery along with the comp releases will work. Those acid batts could be the problem.

I have a pretty rough running chopper myself and never had battery issues because of vibes. I did have a flaky regulator that was blowing my batteries, are you sure its not bad? Did you actually check it your self or did the dealer check it? You may want to check it under different types of conditions especially when your motor is fully hot. Also is your regulator mounted normally or somewhere else? hope this helps

Reg or the stator could be grounding at the right rpm. My guess
