street fighter build
I know that rockets are not everyones cup of tea... so i saved ya'll the BS of my tear down... figured that all the powder for the most part is done so i would bring you up to speed on one of the builds we have going on inthe shop right now over here at The Powder Pro... started life as an FZR600 and we are now to the rebuild stage.... pretty much everything on the bike has been upgraded, from suspension to brakes to power to charging system, to lighting...everything!... will be a blast to ride and as you can see, some wicked colors!!!
day one
(top: V&H header that i have coated in high temp gloss black, Left: bottle that i will make my radiator over flow, middle: hand guards, Lower left: new front gear *more off the line*, Lower right: 3.5 lazer cut dog bones, will drop the bike 1 in, 2in, or 3.5 in the rear
TEAR DOWN
cut up the plastics to make them look a bit better

well.... there comes a time in every mans life when they have to say.... I WAS WRONG, and my friends i was SO WRONG. powder on the legs was such a bad idea i can not even express it. took me 3 hours to do the forks, thank god i had an extra set of legs, anyway i dropped the front end 2 inches to match the rear, added a spacer in the damper and cut 2 in out of the uppper spacer. did a blend of fork oil, 10oz 10w and 4oz 15w so that should do nicely.
motor is in. shock is on, lowering links are in. forks are done, trees are on
she is coming along. man i was so wrong powdering the fork legs, they got suck in the lowers took me forever to get them out and do it right, i was wrong, can not powder them. oooh well least it is my own build and not a customer!
she looks awesome so far!
slammed front end
what is left of the spacers i cut

did not get much done this weekend, was sick, had dads bday, and customer stuff to get through...
did get the wheels on and new bearings in... took forever as the bolts where a mess so i took them all down and polished every bolt that went back on the bike... got to keep it clean and looking new!
then got the bike up on the table so she is easier to work on now! had the wife sit on it to test to make sure i got her low enough for her to ride she is 5'2 on a good day, and is just about flat footed on it... and super pumped i may add to ride this sucker
some decent pictures with a camera and not a cell (please forgive the grime and crap on the bike it is still a project)
just for grins i have tossed on the plastics to check out what she will look like
still have some molding to do for the new tail light before i paint the tins but here is the new tail light that i will add the turn signals to as well
