Default Trying to start my project bike

I have the opportunity to buy a 06 Road Glide, not only that, but I can get a pretty good deal on it. There is a lot of work that needs to be done on it, and one of the things which needs the most work is the front end. In all actuality, the bike is pretty stripped down, and looks more like a battle axe... But I see a lot of promise...

Before I commit a lot of money and time into the bike, I wanted to know if it was possible to put a "non-fairing" front end on the bike. The fairing which comes stock has never been my style (my tastes are much more simple), and I just wanted to make sure that i could actually put something simple on the front.

(fyi: this is my first post, and am more accustomed to working on cars than motorcycles... so take it easy on the rookie)

Thumbs up

Sure U can.. But the fairing bikes have no cans etc. for gauges, headlight etc. so U will have to do extensive rewire and get cans for what your going to use... There are a lot of wires in the fairing, so you might have to relocate some back between and under the tank etc.

Have fun, I am looking to do a custom project for my height challenged GF in the near future..

I converted my Road Glide to a Road King style bike a few years back. Just have to make sure you got the wiring straight. I used a Road King tank also , which is different form a Road Glide.
