Question just looking for an opinion

i know this is probably the wrong place but i will ask anyway

came across and old ironhead sporty for trade for my old rat rod.
do u think the trade would be worth it?
the bike is a 1979 sportster. all original and complete with less than 12000 miles
the car is a 1960 chevy wagon. 400small block 4 speed manual. has some rust and needs some work.

was looking at trading the bike to throw it in a rigid frame and start up a custom project. would this be a good start for something like that?

thanks!

i had a 79 years ago nice bike but hard to get custom parts for, odd year , changed frame from 78 and then changed again in 80 but if your going to put it all in a hardtail frame none of that matters post lots of pics

There are a helluva lot more iron heads than '60 wagons. Keep the car, buy a bike.

if you know that in a few months or a year later you will not regret getting rid of the rat rod go for it.

I'd like to see pics of the car. I just traded my 1930 Chevy for the chopper that's my avatar pic. It was an even trade, no cash. The car was nice, but so is the bike. Be sure that it's what you really want to do. I had two weeks to think about my trade. I've had the chopper for about three weeks and I'm still happy as sh*t!
