Fat Bobs onto Deuce frame
Hey all, thought I would post this in the Custom forum and see if any buildrs out there may have some input:
I am building 'My ride' and, am looking for advice or tips on those who have experience with aftermarket Fat Bob (5 gallon ) tanks.
I would like to mount a standard size pair of the Bob's on my Deuce frame. I found a dealer that sells a set of mock up/weld on brackets and was wondering if anyone here had any advice??
Pretty sure that my Heartland seat is gonna be too short but, I can mod that.
I currently have the Heartland shorty fender, a custom set of Kenny Morris rear struts, a Heartland solo seat, + 4 billet forks (Dual disk), and the bike has been lowered 2 inches.
I've read and read and read about the raked Triple trees and am contemplating a 3 or 5 degree addition but, want to try my stock trees first so.....with all that out of the way....shoot me some hints, tips, suggestions please.
Respects,
Kev
