sick bike those early 80's CB's really rip! great motors! the GSXR conversion to the front on the CB's is actually for the most part a bolt on (you need to fab the streering stops) but it allows you to get some MONSTER brakes on that sucker! VERY VERY cool build man! great bike! i need to get my tail in gear on mine! still not done

 

This thread has really been inspiring. I really want to start my own build (bobber) but don't have the room right now and payin on my new sporty which I want to pay off in about 2 years.

What kind of cheap budget would I be looking at for a first time prodject?

 

any of the CB line from honda make great first time builds! parts are super easy to get and there is TONS of help out there for them!

nope... ugh i know i know. i got the wire harness back...again, still did not work, but i was lucky enough to meet a fella that had an old STOCK harness so he sent that to me and i just got it on Fri of last week. but i get married this week so i will not have time to get it done, one of my buddies is re shooting his car white next weekend. so i took my tank, side covers, and seat into his shop and he is going to lay some real paint on them for me when he does his car... that is pretty cool! bottom line is i HAVE to get this done when i get home from Greece! i want to do my st bob and can not tear that apart untill i hae something i can ride!

ok... well Darmstro was great enough to hook me up with a STOCK wire harness! YES YES YES!!!!!! so i will be rockin that sucker into the bike when i get home from my honeymoon in Greece. To make things even better! my buddy as a wedding present is going to take my tank, seat, and side covers, finish up the body work on them and lay down some pearl white on them while i am gone so that is one less thing i have to worry about! how dope is that!!! so the good news! when i get home, ill be rocking the cafe by the end of the month! finally!!!!!!!!!!!!
tonight i have 4 of my buddies coming by to help me clean up the bike shop and get that in clean condition.

ooh ya and one of my best friends picked up his FIRST bike last night! so whille i am gone he is going to clean it all up and get it shiney... when i come home ill rebuild the carb in that sucker and he will be on the road. he is STOKED!!!!
