question for you... after i sand on the painted surface to get a good area for the body filler to bite can i just apply that right to it or do i have to take it back down to the glass again? I was able to get the seat pretty dang smooth i just have a few ribs in it (waves) that i want out... but need to fill them to get rid of it

First off... WOW! steve this wire harness ROCKS man! just amazing work, clearly labled, well done, just a breeze to install...
got the whole bike wired up, just did not get the front switches done... fresh oil is in, new plugs all gapped up, new filter... baffles are mounted in the pipes and bolted in, new exhaust gaskets are in, pipes are on for good, oil lines are on for good, sprocket case is on and loc tited in, bar end mirrors are done and on, battery is on the charger... got to finish the switch wires tomorrow, toss in some gas.. tune in the points, fire it up, balance the carbs... and wait for the F'N SNOW to melt!!! to see whats up on the jets and to finish the paint... Steve... thanks man A+ work will deff use your work on all my builds here on out!

anyone looking for a custom wire harness, hit him up!!!

Fitting the brains

Pulling wire

Inside side case #1... you can see i was able to use the stock tool storage to house the brain box of the system

Inside side case 2

all the wires going up top have been wrapped in the chrome sleeving

Everything is all wrapped up and leading into the headlight

Tail lights are wired in... I will sillicone in all the wires so the zip ties will all be cut away... (off to the left is the wiring for the horn and button... still needs to be tied up)

so... have you ever just wanted to punch everything and light your shop on fire?! well that is how i felt last night when i hooked up all the wiring to get NO POWER... sucks! I was able to at least go though everything and double check it... all my soldering and conections look great! so at least it looks good... i would be happy if it performed as good... i am working Steve (the guy that made the harness for me) he is super cool so i am sure we will get it worked out...
i did have power for a bit but when i entered in the code to activate the starter... the headlight went out shortly followed by the tail lights (which look wicked by the way) so it is going to take a bit of wire testing to see where my power is and is not going... ill get it, just need a bit of time... good thing i dont have much of that! ha ha ha ooh well... all part of the fun of doing a custom build right!

Thats a hell of a rats nest to clean up, but that's the fun of it.

Your build is truely an inspiration.

I have a little kawasaki KZ305 that I am taking cafe, nowhere to the level you have done here, just cleaning up, replacing handlebars, grips, headlight, etc....

But your build has inspired me to maybe do more.....
