Iron head or evo?

Just finished an EVO sporty bobber, and a guy i know is building an Ironhead one. The Ironheads look cool, but they are known for having some problems/quirks. If you want reliability, ease of starting stay with what you have. Plus you already have the bike. I would suggest you go read all of my posts "bobber update, day ___", where I have chronicled my build on here.
Sure hope you don't mind being frustrated from time to time. Building your own scooter has it's ups and downs, that's for sure.
'87 evo....she's getting to be an old girl....good stuff.

Gotta agree with Traveler, while the ironheads look cool, the evo motor SHOULD prove to be more dependable. Plus it's a little easier to find all the parts you need. A 1200 evo will give you more ponies too.
I just traded off '75 cases and heads for some needed bike parts...found out it's way cheaper to buy a complete evo motor/tranny than to build an ironhead from scratch.
