Now that riding temps are almost 100 degrees, my 2008 Big Bear Chopper Venom negative post connection has came loose twice and left me twice on the road, stranded witout tools. We changed from the stock Interstate to a 330 CCA Drag Specialty after the first occurance. The dealer installed a second ground so I now have one to the frame and one to the motor. The only thing I added previously were the tender connections. Any suggestions? Locktite on battery bolt? Lock washer? Do away with the barrel sleve? Longer bolts? Im stumped...
Do you have enough thread left on the bolt to thread far enough into the post. I've seen this happen a few time with bikes that \\;have had lighting etc added. Nornally a lock washer will do the trick if you \\;are able to get enough threads.  \\;
There is enough thread for a lock washer, but the folks at the Interstate Battery \\;tech center in \\;Iowa advised against it since they are dissimilar metals. But lead post, cadium plated bolt, and copper wire eyelets are all dissimilar too???
