Bikers Choice Kit Bikes
I am building an EZ Choppa Bike-in-a-Box by Bikers Choice. Are there any members here who have built such a kit (or another by Bikers Choice)? I need some assistance from time to time.
1) Only way I can move the wheel 1/4" to the right (in order to have room for the pulley and clearance for the belt on the left) is to have the outer edge of the caliper bracket milled. I tried spreading the swing arm but it had too much memory. Ever heard of having to do this? The bracket is either made of slag, or it's aluminum. Any ideas on how I should finish the part when I get it back from the machinist?
2) Am looking for main shaft spacers to go between the compensator sprocket and the rotor in order to gain 30 thousandths for the chain alignment. Have been told they're available from S&S dealers (S&S 96"), but am coming up short so far. Where can I source these?
3) Am mentally figuring out how to wire the bike using the early FXST harness that came with the kit, (Not exactly rocket science) but am wondering if a Thunderheart or other expensive harness would be better. Also, if I use the OEM harness I'll need some ideas for connections, routing, breaker placement, etc.
Any help with these will give me a leg up. Thanks everyone. (And thanks for welcoming me to the forum)
