I am looking to purchase a used 2008 ultra classic and was looking for any issues that I may need to know about. Any help would be appreciated.

Anything should already have been taken care of as for recalls. Fuel filter shell was a recall. Properly maintained its a great bike. Compensator, unless changed to SE will need to have an eye kept on it.

 

I was concerned that this year they put the new motor in the old frame. Is that a problem.

 

07 was the year for the TC96 and 6 speed in the old frame. 08 was the first year for electronic throttle and 6 gal gas tank with a slightly modified old frame.

 

I have an '08 Electra Glide Classic.
Great bike. The only time it was back at the dealer was for the fuel filter shell recall.
I signed a deal for a '13 and trading the '08.
Only reason I'm trading it is because I want a new one, not because there was anything wrong with the '08.
Other than mods, the only thing I had to do was replace brake pads and tires.
