Question evil knievel...

anyone ever see the evel knievel harley davidson? have pictures or info? it was the same as evel's 1976 white with his colors red, blue stars, stripes and had his name on it. i remember this bike as i think it was a kids motorcycle of sorts... not sure if it was a "sportster" styled or not maybe even smaller in size. just wondering if anyone remembers that. if anyone knows or has images post that if you could. not much info even from harley davidson's history.

It was the XR 750 the road racing model. Higher RPM and Torque. Looked very much like a Sportster from which it was derived. PS Google is your friend.

wow, thank you sir. you made my day. that's the exact bike i had and rode that thing like no one's business. i loved that thing. i really do appreciate you posting that image as well.

Just so happens that I visited a knievel motorspors shop yesterday. I'm not sure if they would be able to help ou or not, but they were very accomidating to me. Great group of guys.

He donated one of his bikes to the Smithsonian Institute. Worth a look, maybe?

Cool pic.
I find it amazing that he could jump the distances he did with that bike. The suspension is just.........well.....nothing
