I would say a classic would be about 20, just checking, I like the old bikes, I have much respect for old HD's that are still running after 15-50 years. Thanks for the info...Cc
An antique has always been 35years. There is no official classification for 'Classic" This is the definition of the AMCA (Antique Motorcycle Club of America) and most state licensing departments.
To mefitting the words antique and classic to a vehicle are based upon the vehicle itself. Sure, in Virginia if your vehicle is 25 years old, you can register it as an antique. Now is a 1970's Pinto, Gremlin, Fairmont, Impala, and so on an antique or a classic? Not in my book, but you sure do see alot of those old junkers on the road with antique plates on them. Here, in Va., they do it because you only buy a one time plate for 13 bucks and don't have to get it inspected....Sure, you aren't supposed to drive it everyday, but the law is so gray that it isn't easily enforced.
IMO, no EVO is a "classic" yet. I consider Shovels and Irons and everything on back in the HD line to be a classic.
