Default can someone identify this bike?

we found this old picture of my grandmother and grandfather and we were hoping somone could identify this bike model.
The picture is dated 1941

The closest I can find is a 1936. The stripe surrounding the emblem on the tank is the only year that they had that type of stripe. Perhaps the lower part of the stripe is missing from the photo that you supplied.

It looks to me like the seat has the additional 'swing into place' support for a passenger... I thought that was later, like in the mid to late-mid 40's. There's plenty of clearance under the front fender, too, for all of the mud that military bikes had to plow through. I'm not positive but somewhere it seems that I read that the fender was raised for the military production bikes. Hard to tell from that photo so I'm just guessing.

looks like a 1936 with the paint job

also cant see front sidecar mounts on the tubes

very rare motorcycle
