Sabre, okay so tell me you were frozen in a time warp, thawed out and actually believe that what you posted is true. Back in the late 60s and early 70s that would have been possible (I got a 51 pan rat job that was a runner for that price), but today it seems you cant even get a motor that is all together for that amount. Man there was a time when every thread you read talked about 45 flatties for under a grand that were sitting in a barn or some knuckle or pan for two-five that some red neck farmer was trying to unload. But not today, most are restored, in the process of being restored or have ended up as chopper/bobbers. If you can find one for under three, good luck, but I got to think you got to be smokin some really good **** to actually belive it.

Where I work a friend of mine has a 38 that is complete and runs for $10,000. I have wanted to go and strike up a deal with him but I don't have the cash. If anyone is serious about wanting to check it out I can get you in contact with him.
