Battery technology was definitely not there at that time. Not to mention, don't have a wreck, acid everywhere! Curious, I see the motor, is that a transmission under it? Or just a countershaft?

Oh yikes... I've never thought about the acid component here... That's terrifying! Not sure about the trans/countershaft question...
