‘86 super glide
This is my dads ‘86 Super Glide. He passed march 29th 2023 after a long battle with cancer. During that battle he attempted to change the bars and because he was weak and shakey during chemo, he messed up a bunch of the switches wiring and tried to solder it ,which got solder all inside the switches. Also the throttle cable snapped and it’s sat ever since for the past three years. After he passed I decided to restore it and give to my little brother when he turns 21. Auto mechanic by trade figures ain’t no reason why I can’t figure it out fast. Still a new rider been riding for 2 years now and also have his 17 heritage that I’m gonna keep and both brothers will ride together with their father. Today is Iune 11th 2023 and the Fxr once again went down my dads street. With a tear in my eye, my dad was able to watch his girl purr down the block because I know he heard her start from up there. Still some work to go but man this beast of a beauty is once again tearing up asphalt. Looking forward to picking everyone’s brains and meeting good people with the same passion
